Summary
A young boy loses his little sister and his dog. The story is about
his relationship with both his two year-old sister and the dog he
had always wanted. The losses bring up questions for the boy, like
where loved ones go after death and why was their time on earth
cut short. These are all questions that many of us wonder about,
but seen through the eyes of a child.

Kara is the Gothic root of the word "care."
It means to reach out, to care, to lament, to grieve with.
